Home Improvement

We dropped Alison's parents off at the airport this morning. It was a really nice visit. We were able to take them out to a number of nice restaurants and visit some neat neighborhoods. But the real focus was on getting the apartment into better shape.

Our meals were: Wed: pastries at La Farine pastries for Breakfast, local produce lunch, Cheeseboard pizza for dinner; Thursday: lunch at local healthy burger place (Smart Alec's), dinner at Dopo's, a nice Italian restaurant; Friday: lunch, things at Berkeley Bowl; dinner at Taste of Africa, where Fred and Marilyn recognized a number of things from their Peace Corp days in Sierra Leone. An incredible amount of great food. Unfortunately, I didn't bring a Camera with me. I am buying a new camera and will be carrying it around me as I wander Berkeley.

The main home improvement projects were getting the dresser and CD shelf done, making blinds for the bedroom and repainting the bathroom. We weren't planning on repainting it, but it did have a number of holes in the wall from us removing ugly hardware and now it is a beautiful grain color we picked out.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures.
